The first time working with Aaron (Macrua) on a project! This was a new type of filmmaking for me, being mostly handheld and impromptu compared to my typically more meticulous style, not to mention being my first project being both director and cinematographer at the same time. And, honestly, I'm really proud of it! It was a big step forward for my work and the start of a great working relationship.
A nice, airy shot of Aaron in his element, giving a small private performance for us.
A surprisingly pretty shot of B-roll in a local pub, this was a quick setup shot with gorgeous lighting and a great reflection.
The main set-up for Aaron's sit-down interview. The shot is slightly overblown, it's the one big thing I'd go back and improve upon if I were to remake this.
A handheld shot of Aaron driving, with surprisingly usable lighting. A lot of shots, including this one, were impromptu and handheld, and demonstrate how well I can adapt.
Aaron giving a cheeky smile to the camera. Despite being overexposed, I really like how authentic this shot feels.
